Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems (MS) sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer to serve as a Business Process Owner for Mission PLM to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Baltimore, MD.
"This position may be filled as a hybrid role at the Baltimore, MD location and candidates are required to be local to the site. Selection will be based on the most qualified candidate."
The Sr. Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer will:
Own the business processes within manufacturing engineering and operations to drive sector-level adoption of Industry 4.0 Digital transformation initiatives from requirements definition through I&T between Teamcenter and MES (SAP, Solumina, etc.) systems.
Serve as point-of-contact for key features being developed for site customers and software development teams.
Own and define cross-functional process-flows to generate integration plans for sector sites into sector-standard processes being developed.
Collaborate with Teamcenter solutions architects to drive decision-making and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures that will host new business functionality for the Mission Systems sector.
Define and manage requirements within Agile projects using Azure DevOps Requirements, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Feature Descriptions, and Process Flows.
Support the financial business impact assessments for identified gaps.
Generate test scripts for Teamcenter RAC, AWC and EasyPlan UI per Business Processes at sector-level and execute regression testing tied to software deployments and create closure reports.
Review delivery against the "Statement of Work" identified during requirement definition and refinement phases with key stakeholders.
Perform root cause analysis, debug problems in the Teamcenter environment, and work with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement remedies.
Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather voice-of-customer data to derive and develop requirements that ensure deployed software meets customer needs.
Train and onboard Teamcenter site-level subject matter experts for the Mission PLM rollout across the sector.
Be prepared to brief Sector Operations and Enterprise Leadership on progress of the PLM deployment activities and align with sector digital transformation initiatives as and when required.
Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM area plus at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Engineering or related STEM area and 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a manufacturing engineering and operations environment.
Experience in implementing and using PLM and related digital tools specific to manufacturing process planning in a collaborative environment.
Experience managing or leading projects and/or people.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management application like Siemens Teamcenter and integrated process planning applications
Experience implementing software applications, tools and hardware solutions in Electromechanical Environments with integrations to other key enterprise solutions (PLM, ERP, MES, etc.)
Experience with Business Process Engineering and Organizational Change Management.
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications: Agilist, Practitioner, Product Owner, Scrum Master
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance

Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
