Construction Project Manager

Job Description

An employer is seeking a Construction Manager for 6 month contract with extensions for a Fortune 50 consumer goods client in the Greensboro, NC area. This Construction Project Manager will be responsible for joining phase 3 and 4 of an expansion project for a standing facility that will be constructed for a new manufacturing (making and packaging) operations. Their primary daily responsibilities will include: Lead the logistics effort associated with the aforementioned Projects Construction and Installation activities coordinating deliveries, laydown, isolation areas. Ensure all systems and resources are in place to ensure zero safety incidents. Regular rounds partnering with the site safety team to enforce systems where needed. Ensure all systems and resources are in place to ensure zero quality defects/right first time including turnover systems working with site turnkey vendor. Ensure all systems and resources are in place to ensure the construction schedule is developed and followed to deliver on time. Ensure safe, secure, and efficient construction site plan is established and followed. Provide constructability input during the installation planning. Coordinate construction activities via site Engineering DDS with the existing site for access, trade management, incident reporting, utilities connection shutdowns, etc

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of construction project management in the corporate space (existing space is ideal)

5+ years of safety standards covering construction and installation activities

Construction management with foundation, walls, exterior, site layout, lighting, utilities, plumbing, etc. (full facility)

Civil, construction, electrical, and mechanical experience/knowledge Lean IPD Experience

FDA regulated facility construction experience

OSHA certification null
