We currently have an exciting opening for an Operations Manager.

Role Summary:

The Operations Manager provides leadership and supervision to an operations team working for the same value stream to create a world-class operations team. This is a high-volume retail big box B2B cross dock environment. The Operations Manager also ensures that departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement and supports a lean culture of inventory, people, and processes.

Responsibilities:

Accountable to client SLA agreement and site-specific quality for high volume cross dock targets.

Create and manage day to day operational strategy ensuring the campus operates in a safe, and productive manner.

Actively contribute to the development of direct reports.

Full work week responsibility for the client.

Lead Individual Performance Management program for area.

Responsible for planning, prioritizing, and communicating shift directives to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality.

Interact with clients on operational topics.

Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.

Deliver performance evaluations to direct reports and provide feedback as necessary including salaried members of management.

Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the value stream.

Deliver productivity and improvements in line with KPIs.

Ownership of lean process improvement and CI initiatives.

Organizes and manages all necessary resources required to improve safety, improve quality, increase customer service, and lower cost.

Ensure all training and skills development programs, along with all Standard Operating Procures (SOPs) within the value stream are up to date and maintained.

Promote a culture of high accountability, engagement, and associate empowerment.

Manage relationships with on-site seasonal staffing representatives and advise Site Director on seasonal labor needs.

Budget management for value stream.

Qualifications:

Must have high volume retail B2B, and or cross dock experience

Minimum of 2 years of progressive Operations experience in a manager role.

Experience in creating productivity improvement through continuous improvement efforts.

Experience working with process improvement ideologies, e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Execution focused.

Awareness of internal customer requirements.

Analyze data to identify defects and root cause analysis.

Identify process opportunities to create growth.

Performance oriented.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to establish and or enhance quality control procedures.

Must demonstrate capacity to learn all operational functions.

Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate direct reports.

Ability to influence and collaborate with peers and upper management.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, strong emphasis in Excel, and Smartsheet is helpful.

Must have intermediate math skills and able to lift 50 lbs and push or pull carts of up to 100 lbs.

Travel:

This position is not remote.

Travel is not required.
