Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Associate to join our client in York, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for financial accuracy. You will play a key role in supporting our Controller and Finance department with a variety of accounting tasks and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

Record and post accounting transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and journal entries.

Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes, including preparing bank reconciliations, monthly recurring entries, and departmental statements.

Contribute to the preparation and reconciliation of the annual budget in collaboration with the Controller.

Perform reconciliation and disbursement of payables and commissions.

Retrieve and organize financial statements from various online platforms for reporting purposes.

Prepare and file Federal Excise Tax, PA Use Tax, and Surplus Lines Tax.

Undertake special accounting projects as directed by the Controller.

Requirements

Associate degree in Accounting is required; a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of two years' experience in an accounting role.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
