Job Title: Manufacturing AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to interpret accounting reports and explain them to the finance team to facilitate projections. This on-site role reports to the Business Controller and involves collaborating closely with various teams to support the company's financial goals.

Responsibilities

Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends.

Collaborate with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.

Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies, including intercompany transactions.

Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals.

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.

Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements.

Essential Skills

Experience in cost accounting and making journal entries.

Performing analyses of business performance versus plan and proposing improvement actions.

Benchmarking of key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar sites.

Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and assessing impact to factory with special focus on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis, and inventory analysis.

Supporting the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Initiative, problem-solving skills, and confidence to explain concepts.

Proficiency in Accounting, Finance, and SAP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a financial analyst role.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, OR a combination of education and relevant experience.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including capability to manipulate large volumes of data.

Experience with SAP is preferred.

Experience in developing Power BI is a differential.

English language proficiency.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position that reports to the Business Controller. Employees are entitled to profit sharing and a 401k with a 7.5% match.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
