Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of Information Technology will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's technology infrastructure, including Information Systems, Enterprise Applications, IT Project Management, Risk Management, and Security. This senior executive will be responsible for driving IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, optimizing the performance of enterprise systems, and safeguarding the company's information and IT assets. The VP will manage a diverse team, overseeing the delivery of technology solutions that enable business growth, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.
Essential Functions
Lead the development and execution of IT strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
Act as a key advisor to the executive team on technology solutions, trends, and innovations.
Provide strategic oversight for enterprise-level IT initiatives, ensuring that they support the company's long-term goals.
Continuously evaluate the technology landscape, identifying trends, innovations, and emerging technologies that can drive competitive advantage for the organization.
Ensure that all IT initiatives and investments align with the overall business strategy, driving business transformation, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience.
Oversee the organization's core Information Systems, ensuring efficient operation, integration, and continuous improvement.
Partner with business leaders across departments to identify key technology requirements and translate them into actionable IT projects and solutions.
Define and lead the long-term strategy for all enterprise applications, ensuring they align with and support the business's growth, efficiency, and operational objectives.
Drive the successful implementation of IT projects that enhance business capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of IT strategies and initiatives on business performance.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with key departments (e.g., finance, HR, operations) to ensure IT solutions are integrated effectively and are scalable across the organization.
Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT and IS teams, ensuring that staff are equipped with the skills, tools, and support to meet organizational needs.
Manage relationships with key technology vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Develop and oversee the IT and IS department's budget, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and effective cost management.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term IT strategies that align with and support the company's overall goals. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Project Management: Expertise in leading complex, multi-phase IT projects, from planning to execution and post-launch optimization.
Vendor Management: Experience managing IT vendors and third-party service providers, ensuring effective service delivery and cost efficiency.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex systems, processes, and data to make informed, strategic decisions.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MS in Information Technology) preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management or executive position.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and other enterprise-level applications.
Demonstrated expertise in IT strategy development and execution, as well as risk management and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Strong financial acumen with experience managing IT budgets and resources.
Travel Requirements:
Based in Tampa Office with some travel requirements.
