Lead Software Engineer
Overview
We are actively seeking a proactive, creative Full Stack Technical Lead who will be responsible for architectural design and implementation of Guardian's next-generation web self-service platforms using React/Next.js/.Net Web APIs.
You Will:
Design, develop, and deploy high-volume, high-usage self-service web portals for Guardian, utilizing React and .Net Web API.
Lead a team of developers to deliver software projects that drive the business value for Guardian.
Collaborate with Technical Teams, Product Owners and subject matter experts from the businesses and work closely with SMEs to understand, plan and implement.
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, legal, infrastructure, and administrative/corporate processes and policies.
Lead code reviews and administer paired programming.
Lead implementation efforts: infrastructure setup and integrations with other applications, and/or front end open or licensed software. Recommend better, faster, or smarter implementations.
Take a leadership and mentoring role when working with less experienced staff, always raising the bar of technical expertise within the organization.
Partner with stakeholders, educating, negotiating and influencing them on implementation options and risks.
Provide unique insight into the analysis of customer business requirements that may cross multiple functional areas and/or multiple technical platforms and understand the broad strategic implications.
Contribute to technical strategic planning for Guardian, proposing new directions and technologies.
Act independently and as part of a team to translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered, tested, and deployed applications.

You Have:
8+ years of experience and excellent programming skills using REACT, Next.js, .NET, C#, Rest APIs, PostgreSQL
Experience in design and launching complex business/responsive design applications.
Strong understanding of software best-practices as it applies to web and business application development with hands on architecture design and development experience required in building large scale applications.
Demonstrable understanding of object-oriented design/development, functional programming, and service-oriented architecture.
Experience working with React JS and Next.js.
Experience creating API's using .Net framework, C# or Java SpringBoot.
Experience working on content management systems like Contentful, Drupal is plus.
Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical and aggressive project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with modern web application development, including building tools, testing, CI/CD, and AWS.
Extensive experience in Software Development Life Cycle Management using Scrum or Scaled Agile is required.
Understanding complex development issues including security, accessibility, concurrency and cross-browser/device compatibility.
Experience working in a rapid and agile development environment with frequent deliveries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Development experience in a cross-platform and multi-tier environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
Location
3 Days a week at a Guardian Location in New York, NY, Holmdel, NJ, or Bethlehem, PA
Salary Range:
$116,350.00 - $191,155.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
