Network Systems Administrator
GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Systems Administrator in support of the Warfighter Training Readiness Solution (W-TRS) Contract, formally known as ATMP.
GDIT's Network System Administrator will report to the Site Manager and is responsible for all for the day-to-day operations of TADSS critical, tools, inventories, maintenance, and the overall product provided to the government

HOW A NETWORK SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR MAKE AN IMPACT:
Maintain the TADSS local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. ?
Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems for the infrastructure and instrumentation for the CCTT Family of Training Devices.
Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses as they are released from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software at OEM request.
Assignments and job duties may include fact finding analysis, development of work processes and procedures, preparing detailed reports, supervising and defining objectives, and defining priorities, and maintenance activities that involve the need for administrative passwords. Provide "over-the-shoulder" assistance to the user and operator, as requested.
Maintain network and computer Information Assurance systems security.
Evaluate and optimize network and system performance.
Assign and update security permissions on a Linux network.
Review and interpret Linux log files and Windows event files.
Manage Virtual Machines on Linux and Windows Hosts and Maintain Network Attached Storage RAID array.
Providing TADSS instruction as requested by local and Area of Responsibility (AOR) units IOT train Soldiers/Civilians on STE operation IAW Government provided NET training products.
Operate, maintain, administer, and sustain all networks and the associated devices that are directly related to supporting integrated communications and training networks, including IA support activities.
Training networks include but are not limited to Joint Training Experimentation Network (JTEN), Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A), Joint Network Node (JNN), Joint National Training Capability (JNTC), MCS servers, and CTC opposing forces networks.
Ensure the necessary records and reports are complete and properly maintained
Ensures required before, during and after operations Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on IT equipment are completed.
Supports the required GDIT/W-TRS cross training plan to support other W-TRS TADSS on instillation.
Interface with customers and site Government personnel, report TADDS status, any maintenance issues as well as assist with training schedules.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BA/BS or 4 years of equivalent experience
Required Experience: 4+ years of related experience managing US Army TADSS
Required Technical Skills :
Experience enforcing network security policies and procedures.
Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security practices.
Ability to learn the W-TRS Management Information System (MIS) for controls/recording all work orders and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) property control.
Certifications: IAW in DoD Pub 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program for Information Assurance Technical Level II; Required within 6 months of hire: one of the following: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CCNA
Security Clearance: Interim Secret or higher required to start.
Required Skills and Abilities :
Capable of managing other Network Systems Administrators as well as supervise employees at your locations.
Superb communication skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms on systems;
Ability to document and report on technical issues and solutions; Ability to resolve complex technical issues
Attend weekly safety briefings.
Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25% of time.
Additional Details :
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver's license and post driving privileges

The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
