Position Summary
Job Summary
The Accounting Manager is a business critical position requiring effective interaction with all levels of management and leadership. This position requires management of all aspects of the accounting department including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, A/R, A/P, Inventory, Costing and general accounting.
Essential Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and standard costing
Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Ensure the ongoing accuracy of financial statements
Leads the monthly closing, financial reporting, and analysis in a compressed 3-day reporting schedule
Analyzes budgets vs actual balance sheet and expense performance
Coordinate all account reconciliations to ensure they are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley and completed on a timely basis
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Ensure Site operational activities for compliance with internal control procedures and SOX requirements
Coordination of all external and internal audit activities including timely provision of audit schedules as requires
Prepare budgets and forecasts to track needs and deliver business goals
Coordination of all system process improvements and upgrades
Oversee Shared Services to drive accounting execution
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Manufacturing background is required
CPA and/or MBA is a plus
3+ years' experience in accounting
Ability to manage in a collaborative environment
Must have in-depth professional knowledge of US GAAP accounting concepts, manufacturing systems, problem solving, critical thinking and creativity skills are essential
Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
Strong work ethic, high standards for work product, honesty, and integrity
Excellent PC skills including Excel and other MS Office applications and working knowledge of ERP systems
Excellent oral, written communication and have a high level of moral and ethical codes

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
Equal Pay Act Range
$119,200 - $178,000 includes benefits and incentive bonus.
