Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee essential financial processes, including managing accounts, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close activities across multiple entities. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

Oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and review monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Conduct detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.

Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries and financial adjustments for multiple entities.

Utilize QuickBooks, M3, and property management software to manage accounting tasks efficiently.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting.

Monitor and maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Support audits and provide necessary documentation to ensure smooth audit processes.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in account reconciliation, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.

Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

Familiarity with property management software and multi-entity accounting.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data.

Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
