Job Title: AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team. The role involves reviewing, coding, and processing accounts payables and cash receipts. You will assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, process and distribute accounts payable checks, and set up wire transfers. Additionally, you will reconcile general ledger accounts monthly and assist with journal entries. This position requires organizing and maintaining a detailed filing system, reviewing and processing company credit card expenses reports, reimbursement requests, and preparing quarterly and annual sales tax returns, city taxes, and personal property tax returns. You will also assist with budget and forecasting activities and participate in ad hoc projects associated with department goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Review, code, and process accounts payables and cash receipts.

Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.

Process and distribute accounts payable checks and set up wire transfers.

Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.

Assist with journal entries monthly.

Organize and maintain a detailed filing system.

Review and process company credit card expenses reports.

Review and process reimbursement requests.

Prepare quarterly and annual sales tax returns, city taxes, and personal property tax returns.

Assist with budget and forecasting activities.

Participate in ad hoc projects associated with department goals and objectives.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business.

Technical skills in general ledger.

Experience in bank reconciliations and month-end close processing.

Proficiency in accounts payables and receivables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

General ledger knowledge.

Experience in manufacturing industry.

Work Environment

The work hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with slight flexibility for later start times. The role offers the potential for conversion into a permanent position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
