Job Title: Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of data, and identifying and correcting errors made by both internal and external personnel. This role involves supporting financial closes and maintaining operational management accounts. The position promises a modernized work environment with ample opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

Perform mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations and verify accuracy of data.

Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and maintenance of operational management accounts.

Assist in providing schedules and commentary for operational management account results and variances.

Produce working-capital cash-flow reports.

Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets.

Prepare special financial reports, when requested by managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Assist CPA firm with sales/use tax data for returns and ensure compliance with sales/use tax regulations.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Accounting, General Ledger, Tax, Journal Entry, and Month-end processes.

Advanced skills in Excel.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Knowledge of GAAP and Reconciliation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Professional experience in accounting, such as internship or staff role.

Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively.

Capacity to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.

Desire to continue professional growth through training.

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work environment with the possibility to work from home after three months, dependent on training. Workdays are Monday and Friday from home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office. The company is undergoing modernization with a fresh leadership team, providing numerous opportunities for growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
