Seeking a talented Medical Assistant to join their team in Middletown, NY!Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination/procedures and assist physicians with documentation.

Relay physician instructions to patients or authorized persons.

Collect and document patient data in person and via phone.

Ensure accurate documentation of medical information in patient records.

Track and route test results for physician/nurse practitioner review.

Communicate test results to patients when authorized.

Facilitate patient care activities, including scheduling tests and reinforcing education.

Perform triage as directed by physician/nurse practitioner.

Maintain adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies.

Utilize electronic health record systems proficiently for documentation and communication.

Process orders accurately and efficiently.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as Eclinical Works (ECW).

Experience with vital sign documentation and phlebotomy.

Medical assisting skills and knowledge of health practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Work Environment

The work environment is a busy urgent care setting with 50-100 patients seen daily.

Monday to Friday schedule, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM and flexibility to work until 6 PM if needed. Opportunities for growth within the company and overtime availability across different specialties enhance the appeal of this role

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
