Legal Secretary

Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil litigation and a proven ability to manage administrative tasks in both State and Federal Courts. Responsibilities:

Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents with precision and accuracy.

Manage calendars and coordinate schedules for attorneys, ensuring deadlines are met.

Assist with e-filing procedures in State and Federal Courts.

Maintain and organize case files using case management software.

Handle correspondence with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally.

Utilize Adobe Acrobat and other tools to edit and compile legal documents.

Conduct research and gather necessary information using tools like Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).

Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures for filings.

Support attorneys in litigation preparation, including organizing exhibits and trial materials. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary or litigation assistant.

Solid understanding of civil litigation processes in both State and Federal Courts.

Proficiency in e-filing and case management software.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced attention to detail and proofreading abilities.

Experience with tools like Adobe Acrobat and ACRIS.

Ability to work on-site in Santa Rosa, California.
