This is a Remote role (Call Center)

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 11:00-7:30 EST

Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment.

Processing medical record requests by taking calls from patients, insurance companies and attorneys to provide medical record status.

Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors.

Proficient in Microsoft office (including Word and Excel).

You will:

Maintains a high level of professionalism and good rapport with co-workers and members of management.

Maintain open lines of communication with other employees and members of management in regard to any problems, complaints, incidents, etc. immediately.

Performs work in accordance with the CPC or facility specific procedures and CIOX Health policies & procedures.

Acts as a backup for the Customer Service Teams conducting business on the telephone as needed while maintaining excellent customer service skills.

Data Entry Process

Reviews the requests to determine which records are being requested.

Enters data on valid and invalid authorizations and requests.

Returns invalid authorizations and requests to the requester.

Validates authorizations for accuracy.

Quality Assurance and Billing Process

Provides quality assurance of medical records.

Calculates the amount to be billed to the requester and prepares the invoice.

Certifies the copies of medical records when requested, if so directed.

Prepares copies for printing and mailing.

Supporting the Management Team

Assists in training and direction of the staff.

Provide backup for ill or vacationing employees

Monitors processing queue and provides assistance where workload demands.

Maintains productivity, quality assurances, and customer service standards.

Maintains confidentiality by keeping all information seen and heard in the strictest confidence.

Attends mandatory employee in-service meetings and/or training sessions, if so directed.

What you will bring to the table:

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Must be able to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively in the English language.

Experience in a medical records or health care setting would be beneficial.

Medical Terminology class is strongly encouraged.

Required to take and pass a 90-day ROI Certification course with a score of 85% or higher.

Passing annual Introductory HIPAA examination. (Testing to be given annually in accordance with employee review.)

Pay ranges for this job title may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements of the role.

The estimated base pay range per hour for this role is:

$15-$18.32 USD
