Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

As a Process Controls Design Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in designing and building advanced control systems for material handling and process equipment in the life sciences and chemical industries.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project managers to review and interpret user requirements.

Create detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Select and specify instrumentation tailored to each unique system.

Design control panels for electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Design electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

Design equipment network architecture.

Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor from time to time.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.

5+ years of relevant work experience designing control systems.

Familiarity with Allen Bradley Products.

Proven experience in designing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Proven experience in designing VFD and Motor control.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio).

Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience and understanding of Hazardous Location requirements and protection methods.

Understanding of Electrical Standards (UL, NEC).

High standard of integrity.

Self-motivated.

Superb communication skills.

High attention to detail and highly organized.

Ability to see a project through from start to finish.

Excellent mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

This role involves prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Willingness to travel (5%-10%). The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for residence in the Midwest region.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $62.00/hr.
