Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various production machinery, including die cutters, converting machines, gluing machines, and corrugating machines. You will initially begin either in the loading form position, ensuring the machine runs efficiently by loading cardboard dunnage, or as a bander operator at the end of the corrugating line, ensuring products meet specifications and are properly banded.

Responsibilities

Operate production machinery such as die cutters, converting machines, gluing machines, and corrugating machines.

Load cardboard dunnage to keep machines running efficiently.

Ensure finished products are stacked properly and manage the stacking process.

Operate as a bander, ensuring products meet specifications and entering banding requirements into the machine.

Essential Skills

1+ year of machine operating/attending experience in a corrugated or printing role.

1+ year of experience in a production environment.

Ability to lift 40lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with machine operation, palletizing, die cutting, gluing, and corrugating.

Work Environment

This two-year-old, state-of-the-art facility is divided into three sections: Converting, Corrugating, and Warehouse. The converting section uses a roller track system to move materials without forklifts. The corrugating section features a 100+ yard long machine for creating corrugated boards. The warehouse involves forklift operations for loading and unloading. Safety gear including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
