Description Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer, EIT, to join our growing Active Transportation team. This is an opportunity to support a variety of interesting and complex active transportation projects for our growing list of transportation, municipal, and private clients throughout the Midwest and beyond. We are looking to add a Design Engineer who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a design engineer with Bolton & Menk, you will be supporting a team of engineers providing technical analysis, drainage design, plan development, and modeling to take your projects from preliminary design through construction. What You Will Be Doing: Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on transportation projects Perform basic design computations, preliminary layout and design, research and prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies Assist with project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity take-off estimates Assist with design of a variety of active transportation projects. Work may be applied to existing infrastructure of part of larger transportation improvement plans and specifications What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources or bio-systems engineering, or equivalent program from an accredited college Certified Engineer-in-Training or able to obtain within 12 months of hire Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software.(i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation) Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on years of experience and credentials Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location.
