Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Engineer (Engineer 3) to join our Business Services team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining customer-facing applications. We're looking for a strong coder who can lead testing efforts, ensure release readiness, and collaborate across global teams. The ideal candidate will be trusted to present honest, data-driven test results to leadership and will play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our applications.
Job Description
This team and role are based in our downtown Philadelphia Comcast Technology Center (https://comcastcentercampus.com/) . It is not approved for remote or virtual hiring.

Core Responsibilities for this role:
Serve as the Test Lead for customer-facing applications within the Business Services team.
Write and maintain automated tests as part of the development process.
Collaborate with developers to ensure testability of new features and code changes.
Own and drive release readiness, ensuring all quality gates are met before deployment.
Present clear, honest, and actionable test results to team leads and stakeholders.
Coordinate daily with overseas counterpart, ensuring smooth handoffs and continuity of testing efforts.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, from front-end to back-end.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies, tools, and processes.
As well as typical responsibilities of an Engineer at this level:
Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
Designs new software and web applications, supports applications under development and customizes current applications. Assists with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases.
Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.
Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Provides technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level Software Development Engineers.
Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Qualifications:
?5-7 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications.
Proficiency in React
Strong experience with .NET and C#, including developing and maintaining backend services and APIs.
Experience writing code-based tests to validate functionality and ensure
Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
Experience working in agile development environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing and documentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
