Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable processes while supporting tax preparation and other critical accounting tasks. This position requires someone with construction industry experience and a solid background in accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable, including handling check runs and ensuring timely payments.

Assist the Controller with preparing sales and use tax documentation.

Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance.

Collaborate with team members to audit financial data and prepare reports.

Manage billing functions, ensuring invoices are accurate and delivered on schedule.

Support accounts receivable tasks, including payment tracking and collections.

Implement and maintain ERP systems to optimize financial processes.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounting transactions.

Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.

Contribute to the improvement of accounting workflows and processes. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable processes, including check runs.

Hands-on experience with accounting software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP platforms.

Familiarity with accounts receivable, billing, and auditing functions.

Demonstrated ability to prepare sales and use tax documents accurately.

Previous experience in the construction industry is required.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in financial record management.

Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data efficiently.

Proficiency in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
