Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Rochester, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals seeking stability and growth in their accounting career. The role involves managing key financial processes and ensuring accurate reporting to support organizational success.

Responsibilities:

Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain and update the general ledger with precise financial data.

Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting activities.

Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and reports finalized.

Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient financial management.

Generate and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.

Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes for improved efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management.

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close processes.

Familiarity with accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with teams.

Understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance standards.
