Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Morristown, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, and supporting key financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including Work in Progress and Deferred Revenue, to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with payroll partners to manage and record North America payroll entries, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, and severance costs.

Update and reconcile the global general ledger cash balance schedule, aligning it with Treasury cash balances and ensuring timely bank reconciliations.

Review and validate North America prepaid schedules, working closely with the staff accountant to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and review audit workpapers to support external auditors during the annual audit process.

Oversee the Balance Sheet Control Matrix by ensuring account reconciliations are completed and approved according to established timelines and policies.

Conduct quarterly audits of key account reconciliations to confirm adherence to internal policies.

Partner with finance stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiencies within financial operations. Requirements - A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is strongly preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential for success in this role.

In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and streamline accounting processes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and attention to detail.
