Job Summary :
We are seeking a Senior Strategic Operations Manager to provide high-level leadership and strategic alignment across Maintenance and Operations teams in a 4,000-person lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. This senior role will directly support the VP/SVP of Operations in driving enterprise-wide initiatives, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to meet aggressive business goals. This role will ensure effective collaboration between teams, streamline processes, and support the successful execution of strategic and operational goals.
Essential Duties:
Executive Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary strategic partner between Maintenance and Operations leadership to align enterprise strategies, priorities, and execution frameworks.
Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the Senior General Manager to translate long-term business objectives into integrated operational strategies and actionable roadmaps.
Operational Excellence: Champion continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives across departments to drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.
KPI Ownership & Performance Management: Lead tracking, analysis, and reporting of key operational metrics to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and timely course corrections.
Process Innovation & Optimization: Identify critical gaps, design streamlined workflows, and lead implementation of scalable solutions to enhance cross-functional collaboration and operational outcomes.
Executive Problem-Solving: Act as a senior-level problem solver, facilitating rapid, data-driven decision-making to resolve enterprise-level challenges and bottlenecks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent operations leadership in key executive meetings, ensuring effective communication and coordination of high-impact initiatives.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees', wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.

Qualifications
Requirements - Required and/or Preferred:
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or industrial environments, with significant exposure to strategic planning and cross-functional coordination.
Proven success partnering with executive leadership to implement enterprise-wide initiatives.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational efficiency, and maintenance planning.
Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational influence skills.
Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive, or other high-tech industries.
Lean Six Sigma certification or demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
Background in project management and change management.
