Sr. Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Andover, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Manage balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.

Conduct bank reconciliations to monitor and validate financial transactions.

Oversee general ledger activities and maintain up-to-date financial records.

Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly accounting cycle.

Support the month-end close process by ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial data.

Leverage Microsoft Excel to analyze and report on financial information.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve processes.

Requirements - Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes.

Proficiency in working with general ledger and journal entries.

Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
