Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Billerica, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and manufacturing cost analysis. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices and payments.

Manage accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing and reconciliation.

Conduct production entry and inventory data management to maintain accurate records.

Review shipment documents and bills of lading to verify compliance and accuracy.

Analyze order management processes to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

Utilize ERP and other accounting software to streamline financial operations and reporting.

Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.

Evaluate manufacturing cost accounting processes to optimize plant operations and financial outcomes.

Support manual processes and implement changes as necessary to enhance operational workflows.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle.

Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.

Background in manufacturing cost accounting and familiarity with plant operations.

Ability to perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.

Solid analytical skills to support operational and financial process improvements.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
