The Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Relations Executive fosters and maintains strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth and enhance business outcomes. Demonstrates exceptional communication and negotiation skills, ensuring mutually beneficial collaborations that align with organizational goals. Provides innovative strategies and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the enterprise. The Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Relations Executive works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Relations Executive contracts and works closely with external direct to consumer and employer pharmaceutical companies. Acts as a key collaborator with Internal Pharmacy Leaders to determine which prescription drugs are covered and which ones are not. Links the pharmaceutical rebate marketplace with the formulary and with Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) and Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) strategies. Negotiates rebates for purchased drugs and purchases on behalf of network pharmacists. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Work with ~70 Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and vendors to obtain access to limited distribution products and make products available with direct to consumer and direct to employer opportunities
Monitor pipeline trends and seek out relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, provide insights on pharmacy capabilities and enhanced services, negotiate and implement contracts operationally, manage day to day relationships as well as provide data insights for the drug products
Travel - 5-7 trips a year, 15-20%

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 5 years equivalent specialty pharmacy experience
5+ years of specialty pharmacy, manufacturer, or PBM experience
Direct to Consumer/Employer experience
2+ years of project leadership experience
Strong consultative and relationship building skills
Strategic thinking and planning capabilities; organized and detail-oriented
Effective problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft office products including power point
Knowledge of pharmacy practice and the cost drivers of pharmacy
Extensive experience in the healthcare or pharmacy industry
Proven record of success in negotiating contracts
Extensive experience managing external relationships
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Pharmacist/Clinician
Masters in Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration
Six Sigma or PMP certification
5 or more years significant PBM or direct to consumer/employer pharmacy experience
Travel up to 25%

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$126,300 - $173,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
