Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Greenfield, Massachusetts. This role supports the financial operations of a non-profit organization by managing invoices, credits, and customer refunds while maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts receivable and billing processes.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices for advertised events and apply credits related to included resources.

Manage credits for workshop registration changes and reconcile workshop events across registration and accounting systems.

Handle credits for sales returns, ensuring items are accurately marked as returned to inventory or damaged.

Process adjustments and returns for resource books associated with advertised workshops.

Issue shipping credits in alignment with agreements made with major retailers.

Prepare and process customer invoices and credits as needed on a regular basis.

Review and complete customer refund requests tied to issued credits.

Process approved customer refunds and coordinate with accounting systems for accuracy.

Review deposits within NetSuite and perform bank deposit tasks.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience with accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in billing and invoice processing.

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Familiarity with financial software, such as NetSuite, is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
