Software Configuration Manager Summer Internship Part-Time Onsite

Within Engineering, the successful candidate will perform Software Configuration Management (SCM) tasks including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit and verification.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, this position is to be performed full-time on site ,conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Under direct supervision and specific direction, the successful candidatewill execute SCM activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures.The SCM will learn to manage software repositories using designated SCM tools for software version and baseline control, using BAE Systems procedures. They will learn to perform and document required software builds as directed to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines and deliveries. They will gain experience in executing release and change control functions in order to ensure software product integrity.

Essential Functions are:

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents

Comply with policies and procedures to accurately execute the role.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Pursing a Bachelor's Degree

Proficient with Microsoft Office

US citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Active Secret clearance

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41140 - $57217

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
