And our work depends on an Oracle Hyperion Application Lead joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The customer has a strong appetite for innovation and automation on the Hyperion Planning application.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
As an Oracle Hyperion Application Lead supporting CMS, you will be entrusted to staff and lead a team consisting of functional and technical subject matter experts that collectively builds Hyperion value-add capability and solutions and ensures overall Hyperion (Hyperion Planning and Budgeting) system stability and availability. In this role, a typical day will include:
Provide product direction for Hyperion Planning Application in consideration of the program roadmap and Oracle Hyperion Planning product development direction.
Partner with the CMS Financial Management Systems Group (FMSG) product owner to ensure on-going alignment on backlog prioritization, and proactive sprint planning.
Possess clear vision and priorities to guide and support team members on day-to-day activities.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle 508 account team to help FMSG succeed on the Oracle Hyperion platform.
Proactively communicate upcoming plans, opportunities, and interdependencies with applicable CMS and GDIT teams and leadership as pertains to Hyperion initiatives.
Provide status reports on Hyperion development and plans to Leadership and client management.
Ensure the Hyperion team meets all related SLAs.
Ensure creation and maintenance of SOPs and technical documentation specific to Hyperion.
Manage resource allocation, budget, timesheet approvals, and estimate to completion activities for the Hyperion Team.
Manage Hyperion team members' goals and performance. Participate in the Risk Management Process through risk and issue identification and resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
BS/BA or the equivalent and 10+ years' experience in IT working with various software development lifecycle methodologies and technologies.
5+ years' experience managing Agile/Scrum teams.
5+ years' experience (Application) with the Oracle Hyperion Planning application.
Understand high level technology/architecture of the Hyperion Planning
Experience interacting with senior client management.
Experience managing expectations of multiple stakeholders.
Experience managing daily operations, improvement/enhancement efforts, and special projects.
Experience managing and allocating people resources across multiple efforts.
Experience managing budget and forecasts.
Effective communication skills: listening, talking, writing, and understanding.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in parallel with an awareness for evolving prioritization.
Self-motivated to keep learning more about the Oracle Hyperion platform, capabilities and best practices and apply/share them with teammates and our customer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience working with federal government agencies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint
LOCATION: Candidates in/near the DC area strongly preferred to work onsite in Baltimore, MD once per month.
CLEARANCE: Must pass a CMS background check and meet the residency requirement of having resided in the US for 3 of the past 5 years to obtain a Public Trust.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
