Description

This role is responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on product in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.

Essential Job Duties

Sets up, operates, and maintains work area to safety and cleanliness standards.

Uses visual and dimensional inspection methods to verify that all product is manufactured to customer order specifications and quality standards.

Maintains quality documentation to required standards.

Works in a team-based environment and has a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Basic Qualifications and Competencies

Education: Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience: Entry level. No experience necessary.

Technology: Basic computer literacy.

Physical: Able to stand for an extended period of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, good natural or prescription-assisted vision.

Knowledge and Competencies: Strong attention to detail, able to clearly communicate in English, and able to understand and follow oral and written English instructions.

Other: Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

Knowledge of testing and measuring equipment.

Previous experience in machining or manufacturing.

Previous experience reading technical drawings.

For more than 50 years, L&S has specialized in the efficient, accurate production of parts with demanding dimensional tolerances and complex geometries. We run a highly automated machining operation that features 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers, waterjet cutting and ASME-certified welding.
