Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting operations. Responsibilities:

Reconcile, analyze, and report cash balances on a weekly basis to ensure accurate financial tracking.

Collaborate across departments to identify upcoming disbursements and collections for timely cash forecast reporting.

Analyze monthly trends and variations in income statement accounts, including labor, cash, accrued expenses, and prepaid assets.

Design and maintain systems for managing payroll information, including data collection, calculation, and reconciliation.

Process and update payroll batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage 401k contribution entries and ensure proper documentation.

Perform periodic internal audits related to payroll, costing, and inventory to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Assist with payables processing, including child support payments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.

Support the Accounting and Finance Management team by preparing ad hoc reports as needed.

Work collaboratively with various departments, including off-site teams, to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles.

Proficiency in payroll processes and systems, including HRIS and automated payroll tools.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Expertise in general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP and ADP payroll systems.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across depart
