Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients' team in Kemah, Texas. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in accounts payable and related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented approach to processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

Accurately process invoices, debit and credit memos, ensuring timely data entry.

Handle shipment documentation for export transactions with precision.

Collaborate with the controller to gather necessary information for credit reviews of new and existing customers.

Perform account adjustments by issuing debits or credits to resolve discrepancies.

Investigate and resolve customer payment issues using effective collection techniques.

Organize and maintain invoices, credit memos, and correspondence in an orderly system.

Communicate account statuses clearly with sales account managers and other relevant stakeholders.

Utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively to complete tasks and support operations.

Assist in negotiations related to customer invoices and debt collection.

Support full-cycle accounts payable processes including PO and non-PO invoice management.

Requirements - High school diploma required; Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or related roles.

Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and invoice processing.

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with SAP or similar systems is highly desirable.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Excellent organization and filing skills.

Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounts payable.
