We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within the real estate and property industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset, contributing to the team's success.

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate data entry and ensure the integrity of financial records.

Calculate interest on invoices with precision and attention to detail.

Handle accounts payable (AP) functions, including invoice processing and reconciliation.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage formulas for financial analysis and reporting.

Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as needed.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced formulas.

Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) processes and procedures.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate and verify financial data.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records.

Basic understanding of financial principles and reporting.

Prior experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
