Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing procurement activities, vendor relationships, and contracts to support projects. Responsibilities:

Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontracts, ensuring all necessary terms, conditions, and attachments are included.

Review and validate requisition details, addressing any discrepancies and maintaining accurate procurement data.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure vendor requirements are clearly defined and met in all contracts.

Negotiate vendor agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Support the tracking and analysis of procurement metrics to monitor efficiency and compliance.

Assist in the project closeout process, ensuring all procurement-related documentation is finalized.

Maintain a strong understanding of purchasing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to industry best practices.

Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.

Familiarity with ViewPoint Vista software is a plus but not mandatory.

Proven experience in contract management, including negotiation and administration.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Strong understanding of purchasing systems and policies.

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.

Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
