What You Will Do:
The Director of Supply Chain Global Transitions is responsible for the management of a team that executes supply chain transitions across all Pratt & Whitney (P&W) commodities. The Global Transitions organization is a fast paced, dynamic, matrixed organization that operates in culturally diverse locations around the world. The Global Transitions organization develops suppliers to ensure on time delivery, flawless quality and cost reduction. The Global Transitions organization interfaces with every engine program at P&W as well as every commodity and every part family in the global supply chain.
In this position, the leader is responsible for the cost, quality and delivery of global transitions at many sources of supply globally. You will manage a complex set of projects to transform the supply chain in support of performance and cost objectives. The leader will drive organizational alignment within P&W, assess selected suppliers' capabilities, manage risks, alignment of priorities, support the identification of part family transition packages, drive key cost targets and ensure compliance. The position will lead a team of managers and project managers, while working with other functional groups (Commodity Management, Materials, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, etc.) in order to successfully deliver on transitions. The leader will ensure team's usage of Transition Standard Work and the usage of project tools and project reporting.
This position provides exposure to Pratt & Whitney senior management through regular reporting sessions with executives, program offices and commodity management teams. The Transitions leader will work with a group of domestic and international suppliers across all commodities. Key responsibilities include:
Drive process improvements in the business through use of the CORE Operating System and continuous improvement culture.
Success requires strong leadership and creative problem-solving skills to develop and implement innovative strategies to accelerate work transfers without sacrificing quality or compliance.
Develop and implement tools to identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with supplier work transfers.
Collaborate on commodity and supplier strategies to better position the business to achieve the strategic financial plans.
Collaborate with external organizations and customers (contracts, finance, Mod Centers, Quality, Enterprise Capacity) to create alignment, improve the processes and information flow, and proactively reduce risk.
Agility and flexibility to take on special assignments that align with the ongoing changing dynamics in supply chain and geo-political environment.
Develop the partnership and relationships to ensure alignment to value stream strategy
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Management or related field with 12 years of prior relevant experience; OR Master's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience
Prior leadership experience managing global teams and complex projects
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, data analytics tools, e-sourcing platforms).

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
