Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoEstablish and meet business plan targets for Hours, Volume and Margin bookingsFace time with customers - visiting customers as needed to stay in touch with their needs and bid opportunitiesCollaborate with management team to deliver Gross Margin that exceeds the business planPrepare accurate cost estimates, resulting in projects that operate on the budget established in the estimateSubmit complete proposals to clients in a timely manner which meets both the company and clients requirementsFollow up with clients to ensure our proposals meet their expectations while attempting to gather the necessary information to submit the final proposalSuccessfully negotiate contractsEffectively work with other CMC functions to ensure outstanding customer serviceWhat You'll NeedMinimum 2 years of experience in sales (preferably steel) to General Contractors and/or OwnersProficient at gathering market data along with negotiating, closing, and follow-up of sales orders while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesProficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook and InternetStrong interpersonal skills - articulate communicator, adept in both electronic and verbal communications, professional appearance and demeanorDecision-making abilities with excellent customer service and both verbal and written communication skillsStrategic acumen - the ability to think and act strategically to sell workCapacity to set performance goals and manage personally and interpersonally to achieve themFamiliarity with construction contracts and the related negotiationsGeneral knowledge of estimating, detailing and project managementAbility to read blueprints and contractsInitiative and drive in pursuing customers and building long term working relationshipsMeet critical deadlines and handle changing prioritiesAbility to travel up to 20%Experience with Commercial, Retail, Heavy Civil & Bridge projectsRebar, concrete or general construction experience highly preferredYour EducationBachelor's degree preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune500 company at the leading edge
