Repair on electric, hybrid or regular vehicles

Has Electric Vehicle certification from ASE or an OEM. Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company standards. Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair using schematics and/or diagnostic equipment. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by our technical team. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with shop foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the work order. Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the shop foreman. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins/recalls. Supervises work of other technicians and provides guidance and mentorship to them. Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.

traveling role - will entail 50% travel to Michigan, Ohio and California.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of Electrical Vehicle (EV) experience

5 + years of experience as a Automotive mechanic / technician

Master Level technician

A minimum of 4 ASE's and the willingness/ability to get the remainder within 1 year

Must have some experience traveling as this role will entail 50% travel to Michigan, Ohio and California.

Prior experience training newer technicians on maintenance process and protocol

Needs to be fully capable of working alone and driving a maintenance program by themselves

Customer interfacing, must be presentable and someone that the client feels comfortable presenting to their customers

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $59.00/hr.
