For more information, visit www.gf.com.Summary of Role:Plan and execute continuous photochemical and lithography improvement projects to increase yield, productivity, and cost effectiveness, including rework improvements.Essential Responsibilities:Plan and execute continuous photochemical and lithography improvement projects to increase yield, productivity, and cost effectiveness, including rework improvements. Support cross-functional milestones through collaboration with quality, equipment, integration, and operations engineering teams, and lead the GF team to meet cost saving targets. Define and implement lithography process improvements for new technology insertion to improve process robustness and achieve technology milestones for yield, reliability, etc. Drive process and technology transfers from customers and other GlobalFoundries fabrication plants to Fab8. Develop new technologies across the portfolio of emerging technologies in semiconductor manufacturing, including photochemical, reticle, and lithography processes. Mentor and train technicians on shift to support quality and delivery metrics for 24x7 fabrication plant operations. Execute strategy projects for improvement of sustaining of operations through monitoring of statistical process control (SPC) charts and disposition of out of spec material. Drive process improvements for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem-solving skills. Support the process, planning, and quality organizations to ensure the equipment meet the cost, quality and reliability metrics. Lead troubleshooting task forces and help develop solutions that prevent recurrence for excursion incidents (using such methods as 8D). Support Fab8's efforts in building a world-class organization, achieving manufacturing excellence and establish a team based collaborative culture. Achieve customer on-time delivery and cycle time commitments through tool qualification and runpath management with manufacturing operations. Use Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to assess and mitigate risk for process changes. Evaluate new toolsets and upgrades in order to define best selection for Fab 8 capacity expansion.Other Responsibilities:Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.Required Qualifications:Education - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related.Experience - 4 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered, as a Process Engineer or related role. Requires 4 years of experience in: 1) Semiconductor manufacturing; 2) Understanding of all unit process steps, including non-lithography: especially etch and metrology; 3) 14-45nm process flows and integrated technical issues; 4) Lithography Processes; 5) Project management; 6) Design of experiment 7) Statistical process control.For Awareness Only - the below is our Equal Opportunity Statement (2023) that Workday will automatically populate in every external job description.
