Description

We are looking for an Accounting/Office Manager to join our team north east of Houston. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and office administration, particularly within the construction industry. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, manage office functions, and collaborate with project managers and superintendents to ensure seamless workflow.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to maintain accurate financial records.

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices.

Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to track job costs and ensure proper allocation of resources.

Handle annual budgeting and cash flow analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.

Administer payroll and employee benefits while ensuring compliance with human resources policies.

Utilize intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.

Supervise overall office management, including administrative tasks and staff coordination.

Maintain accurate records and reporting systems aligned with construction industry standards.

Support human resources functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls across all operations

Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and office management roles, preferably in the construction industry.

Proficiency in job costing and working with project managers and superintendents.

Advanced knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Strong ability to prepare journal entries and manage financial statements.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with payroll administration and human resources policies.

Experience in budgeting and cash flow analysis.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage office functions effectively.
