Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Director of Supply Chain Procedural Operations, you are responsible for Supply Chain operations in the O.R. and Cath Lab/IR for large acute facilities. You will implement the standard supply chain operating model in the OR/CLIR to optimize and enhance operating results in the facility. You will develop, enhance and implement clinical initiatives that impact supplies, inventory control, case cart process, and instruments utilized across the facility. You will review operational metrics and help the facility develop action plans to achieve metric goals and operational efficiencies and report those results routinely to facility and division leadership. You are also accountable for understanding and ensuring that the facility meets the industry quality and safety standards.
What you will do in this role:
Provide leadership and strategic direction in supply chain operations, supply expense management, and supply chain clinical integration.
Establish a clinically driven culture in Supply Chain through building strong alliances with hospital executives, CMO's, physicians, and clinicians.
Collaborate with facility and service center teams to assimilate information from a variety of sources and analyze financial, operational, clinical, quality, and service metrics.
Execute operations and expense management plans at the facility and report these results to the Vice President, Supply Chain Operations in an accurate and timely manner.
Establish and meet expense savings goals for the facility.
Develop detailed supply expense savings plans and monitor performance to plan.
Provide expense saving enhancement strategies for supplies in collaboration with hospital leadership.
Coordinate efforts to enable successful supply improvement initiatives by quantifying opportunities, tracking data, and providing project management support.
Facilitate the standardization of products and optimization of supply utilization through effective collaboration with physicians and clinicians.
Execute infrastructure project plans the facility, including the implementation of the standardization programs for all supply chain functions (ie. SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI).
Manage facility implementation plans, identify and mitigate risks (leverage lessons learned, utilize proactive communication techniques), and monitor resource allocations to ensure successful execution of plan.
What qualifications you will need:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar is required.
A minimum of five years' hospital management experience is required.
A minimum of three years' experience in large capacity surgical/cardiac facility is preferred.
Large hospital, multiple campus facility experience is also preferred.
