Position: The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the
completion of complex electrical projects construction projects and
facilities for Walbec Group of companies. A background in emerging
energy markets such as solar would be preferred. Primary duties will
involve the budgeting, design/review and project management of
electrical work as well as oversight of field work if necessary. Provide
leadership with a strong emphasis on ethics, safety and compliance.
Responsibilities: Ensure a Safe and Ethical Work Environment. Be
self-sufficient and require little direction to determine the scope of
electrical projects and arrange for appropriate subcontractors or
internal resources to perform the work. Assist as needed with the
electrical design and troubleshooting of projects and / or equipment in
Walbec facilities. Provide or assist in creating written job scopes,
securing quotes for the work and handling competitive bid process.
Evaluate and review third party engineering conceptual designs,
quotations and drawings for accuracy and communicates deficiencies for
resolution in the best interest of the company. Monitor Subcontractors
work, manage timeline of projects and report completion progress as
needed or requested Review and understand electrical codes and design
specifications to effectively monitor job cost estimates and related
reports. Monitors project budgets and work quality. Performs field
inspection by visiting different job sites possibly staying at the sites
