Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This position, which may transition to a permanent role, is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a background in processing invoices efficiently. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience with accounts payable systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

Reconcile accounts to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.

Perform coding of invoices to the appropriate accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.

Manage check runs and prepare payments for vendor invoices.

Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to organize and track financial data.

Enter data efficiently into accounting systems to maintain accurate records.

Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoice processing.

Handle high volumes of invoices during peak seasons with attention to detail.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Strong skills in coding invoices and account reconciliation.

Ability to handle high volumes of invoice processing efficiently.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Familiarity with check runs and data entry processes.

Effective communication skills for resolving discrepancies.
