Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high-volume invoices, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Process a large volume of external and internal invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Perform three-way matching to verify invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

Handle account coding and ensure proper allocation within accounting systems.

Utilize accounting software systems such as Concur and ERP to manage accounts payable functions effectively.

Participate in month-end closing activities, including reconciliation and reporting.

Manage manual invoice processing and maintain organized records.

Monitor and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to streamline accounts payable processes.

Ensure compliance with accrual accounting standards and company policies.

Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and information. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including high-volume invoice processing.

Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Concur and ERP platforms.

Strong knowledge of account coding and accrual accounting principles.

Ability to perform three-way matching and resolve discrepancies independently.

Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
