Experienced Restaurant Cooks Needed for Culinary Excellence

At Okefenokee Country Club, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our culinary team as cooks in our restaurant. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an exquisite culinary experience in a prestigious and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes according to our restaurants recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented beautifully.

Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency. Monitor and adjust flavors and presentation as necessary.

Kitchen Operations: Assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen by performing tasks such as chopping, slicing, grilling, and frying. Ensure that all cooking equipment is used safely and efficiently.

Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.

Sanitation and Safety: Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation practices in the kitchen. Ensure all food handling and preparation procedures comply with health and safety regulations.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.

Menu Development: Contribute to menu development and specials creation, bringing creativity and input to enhance our offerings.

Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to service.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality and presentation.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capability to lift and carry heavy items.

Dexterity to handle cooking utensils and equipment safely.
