Job Summary
The Vice President of Supply Chain Operations will lead and manage all supply chain and logistics functions across Comcast's $60B domestic Connectivity & Platforms business. This highly visible role is instrumental in advancing Comcast's vision to transform supply chain into a strategic differentiator and a core organizational capability. The VP will work closely with senior executives, regional leaders, and external partners to drive operational efficiency, enable business growth, and enhance the customer experience.
As a strategic leader and change agent, the ideal candidate will bring deep cross-functional expertise, strong supplier and customer relationships, and a global mindset. This individual will be accountable for all field supply chain activities supporting both residential and commercial segments, including customer premise equipment (CPE), mobile handsets, consumer electronics, engineering hardware, and outside plant materials.
The VP will guide and influence operational leadership to adopt best practices, build consistency, and scale supply chain capabilities enterprise-wide. Additionally, they will lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes in partnership with regional teams to ensure the supply chain aligns with future business demands.
Job Description
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Build a high-performing, efficient, and disciplined field supply chain operation rooted in a culture of continuous improvement and execution excellence.
Define and manage shared performance metrics with key stakeholders to track cost, service, and quality.
Develop deep understanding of the supply chain P&L and key cost drivers, including cost per unit (CPU).
Establish and operationalize Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) infrastructure across divisions, planning, procurement, and field supply chain teams.
Support Comcast's growing retail footprint by optimizing store replenishment, logistics, and backroom operations in partnership with Retail Operations.
Develop strong relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders across Divisions, Product Development, Procurement, Engineering, and Technical Operations.
Provide hands-on leadership to a geographically dispersed workforce across all supply chain functions, including network design, inventory and product planning, logistics, warehousing, and repair.
Lead and motivate a large front-line workforce, fostering engagement and development.
Shape supply chain strategy and policy to support long-term growth, turning operations into a competitive advantage while improving cost and efficiency.
Champion Comcast's customer experience goals through initiatives such as same-day delivery, packaging improvements, and retail delivery standardization.
Drive major supply chain transformation efforts and system-wide strategic initiatives.
Promote operational excellence through best practices and continuous improvement, with a focus on service levels, cost reduction, and inventory optimization.
Implement advanced tools, systems, and processes to elevate supply chain performance and customer experience.
Oversee integration of systems and alignment of inventory, demand, and replenishment planning with the right stakeholders.
Collaborate with peers in Strategy, Hub Operations, Financial Operations, and Business Continuity to execute near- and long-term priorities.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
15+ years of experience in supply chain operations, supply chain planning and logistics operations, in progressively senior positions.
Deep knowledge in all aspects of supply chain with functional depth in supply chain operations, planning, forward and reverse logistics, retail operations, transportation and multi- location distribution warehousing in a complex environment, including both centralized and decentralized operations.
Deep subject matter expertise in retail fulfillment to 600+ stores and emerging fulfillment areas such as same day delivery, Buy Online Pick Up In Store, etc. to provide customers with "buy anywhere, fulfill anywhere" experiences.
Proven track record of creating and driving best in class processes and KPIs in distribution and fulfilment in a multi-channel business
Experience managing reverse logistics through a 3PL provider
Knowledge of innovative processes and technology in support of the supply chain and retail operations, including automation of core supply chain processes to eliminate manual processes, drive efficiencies, and deliver reliable KPI performance.
Development and deployment of multichannel supply chain strategy designed to reduce cycle times and improve cost per unit (CPU)
Experience working in and collaborating effectively in a matrix organization with cross functional and operations stakeholders, ideally in a high-volume telecom environment.
Experience leading a strategic vision across large teams spread across multiple business units and regions.
Experience driving and improving end-to-end customer experience.
Experience leading integration of supply chain organizations of acquired companies.
Successfully driven significant change management through the supply chain.
