As part of the Supply Chain Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in building end-to-end, best-in-class software solutions for Apple's Supply Chain needs, ranging from Supply Planning and Demand Planning to Product Distribution and beyond. Youwill collaborate with various internal stakeholders to define and implement solutionsthat optimize Apple's internal business processes
Description
We are seeking an individual who thrives on tackling challenges and finding creative solutions. The ideal candidate should excel in collaborative environments and produce high-quality software under tight deadlines. Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work independently, while collaborating effectively with multi-functional teams across the globe (US, Singapore, India, and Europe). This role will have a direct impact on Apple's business, requiring interaction with various internal teams to deliver cutting-edge products in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable, distributed systems, leveraging cloud-native technologies and micro services architecture to build robust and resilient solutions.
Lead proof-of-concept projects and pilot implementations to showcase new ideas.
Strive for excellence by continuously seeking ways to enhance system reliability, performance, and security.
Contribute to design and code reviews, and assist in debugging and resolving issues.
Contribute to solution and architectural design reviews.
Develop system components and take full responsibility for the timely delivery, quality, and performance of the team's work.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, support teams, and end users.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise-level application development
Hands-on experience in developing software applications using Java, Python and related technologies.
Hands-on Experience working with various database technologies (RDBMS, Key-Value, Document-based, etc.).
Hands-on Experience working with Javascript Frameworks like Angular\ReactJs
Hands-on Experience with Python data analytics platforms, such as pandas, DataFrames, numpy, etc.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, and object-oriented programming.
Proven ability to research, architect, and drive complex technical solutions involving multiple technologies.
Experience in deploying distributed, large-scale, low latency web applications with REST, Data Caching Services, DB schema design and data access technologies
Experience crafting and architecting distributed systems and concurrent programming.
Experience designing ecosystems for Web applications & API Platforms
Experience in developing software and services in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, etc.
Experience in building Django/Flask-based app servers and API development.
Development experience with container orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
AI/ML-related experience is a plus.
A strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG is a plus
Experience in developing applications for the Supply Chain business domain is a plus
Experience in leading and mentoring engineers
Ability to successfully manage and collaborate with contractors.
Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
Team lead experience is a plus. Occasionally, will need to handle application production (warranty) support.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
