Job Summary and Qualifications

The Medical Office Specialist is responsible for all front office functions including patient relations, appointment scheduling, telephone duties, patient registration, insurance verification, handling medical records, filing, and computer work.

What you will do in this role:

Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers.

Scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.

Checking in patients and properly documenting registration.

Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics.

Filing and retrieving medical records/files.

Copying and faxing duties.

Will cross train at all HPL Clinics

Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate / GED

Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Phlebotomy experience required
