Summary:
The Supply Chain Data & Systems Analyst supports cross-functional process improvements and systems integration across Purchasing, Logistics, Material Planning, and Accounts Payable. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate material flow, ERP data integrity, and vendor communication by resolving exceptions, optimizing release strategies, and improving long-term system performance. The position focuses on tactical issue resolution while driving strategic enhancements to Epicor ERP, inventory reconciliation, and EDI exception reduction.
Core Functions:
Material Flow Optimization
Coordinate and release material to logistics partners based on site needs and inventory levels.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between expected and actual coil receipts to support accurate inventory positioning at plants.
Inventory Systems Support
Reconcile off-site and consigned inventory balances to ensure alignment with ERP records and physical counts.
Manage and import vendor acknowledgments for non-EDI inventory transactions to maintain visibility and planning accuracy.
ERP Analysis and Process Improvement
D iagnose root causes for systemic mismatches and initiate long-term fixes, including updates to Epicor logic, configuration, and data governance rules.
Lead process improvement projects related to price accuracy, vendor performance tracking, and packing slip logic (e.g., enabling SMI receipt price edits and analyzing cost/timing impact of erroneous price changes).
Support Purchasing, A/P, and Logistics in refining Epicor workflows to enhance reliability of replenishment and invoice matching.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a liaison between Procurement, IT, and site operations to close gaps in system understanding, institutional knowledge, and support availability.
Document repeat exception @types and build knowledge base or SOPs to reduce recurrence and training needs.
Performs other duties and activities related to the department as necessary to support overall operations and responsibilities, even if not specifically listed above.
Key Measures of Success:
Reduction in recurring ERP exceptions and EDI errors
Timely reconciliation and accuracy of off-site and SMI inventory records
Reduction in unplanned logistics disruptions tied to late material releases or mismatches
Improved data quality and usability of ERP data for downstream departments (Planning, A/P, Ops)

Education & Experience:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in ERP systems (Epicor preferred), supply chain operations, or procurement support within a manufacturing environment
High proficiency in data validation, systems analysis, and root cause documentation
Familiarity with EDI workflows and inventory transaction processes
Strong collaboration, time management, and communication skills
Preferred:
Experience with MRP logic and supply planning principles
Prior exposure to EDI exception handling or supplier acknowledgment processing
APICS or CSCP certification
Advanced Excel skills, data modeling, or Epicor configuration
