Skanska USA Building Inc. (Skanska) is looking for a full-time Marketing Director in Portland, Oregon. In this job, you'll strategically manage marketing staff and client deliverables to position Skanska strategically in the market by taking on responsibilities including but not limited to: managing all marketing deliverables in your area through direct production or oversight; hiring, managing and developing the marketing team within your oversight area and communicating corporate marketing strategies and goals; assigning work to team members while maintaining quality of marketing activities and deliverables; translating innovative and strategic ideas into proposal content; creating external and internal deliverables containing feature/benefits and other audience-centric content; assisting in planning marketing strategies and goals for the region; attending marketing leadership meeting to influence direction and goals of national marketing team; interviewing operations/preconstruction team members and strengthening all sections of deliverables; participating in local annual business/sales planning and tracking project pipeline to ensure timely approvals; representing firm to clients, business associates and industry-related organizations; identifying new opportunities for promoting and branding the company; tracking and overseeing annual trade shows, award submissions, major office meetings and college recruiting efforts; managing local budget; and anticipating and proactively mitigating risks.

A day in the life
Holding weekly marketing meeting
Researching the local and regional market and updating the project pipeline
Working with pursuit team on proposal content, editing narratives and adding benefit statements and callouts to drive a consistent message and theme
Holding check-in with direct reports
Supporting staff with training and guidance
Marketing Director Required Qualifications:
9+ years of prior marketing experience in the Architectural, Construction, Engineering (AEC) industry or similar capacity
9+ years of experience responding to RFQs, RFPs and developing/facilitating and coaching presentations
Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
Expertise in writing, proofreading and editing
CPSM certification or approved equivalent
Bachelor's Degree - marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
