THE POSITION
Are you a highly motivated information technology (IT) professional with strong communication, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills? The Public Safety End User Support team is seeking an IT professional who pays keen attention to detail and can work both with a team and independently to join us in supporting IT functions for a variety of criminal justice, public safety, corrections, and victim services agencies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will serve as an IT Services End User Support Section Analyst providing second level support for responding to, resolving, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues throughout the agencies we serve. Your responsibilities will include resolving equipment, software, applications, and telecommunications issues; installing and maintaining computer and network related equipment software; managing various end user support related projects; and keeping up to date with the microcomputer and mainframe computer hardware, software, applications, and telecommunications used throughout the supported agencies.
You will perform work in a centralized support capacity providing statewide technical assistance on desktop hardware and software and establishing and implementing supported agencies' hardware and software installation standards. This includes working with other staff to increase familiarity with their functions, developing procedural instructions, and conducting formal classroom training and informal training for users or technical staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Telework: After successful completion of a training period & probationary period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to one day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.
Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
